David Evans is a founding principal of Meritage Healthcare Strategies. He has more than 20 years experience in the development, implementation and management of sports medicine, fitness and preventive health facilities, programs and services. Combined he served for sixteen years as the Managing Director of the Nashville Baptist Fitness Center and Baylor-Tom Landry Center, both of which are hospital-based sports medicine and fitness centers. In these roles he was responsible for the development, start-up and ongoing management of the operational procedures, staffing, programs and services, quality control, customer satisfaction, and financial performance of each center. Additionally, he has experience as a professional athletic trainer for high school, collegiate and professional sports teams, has served as a research associate for the Cooper Aerobics Center, and was the Director of Preventive Health Services for Baylor Health Care System.
